Research activities in the province of Chiang Rai have given rise to the 'Chiang Rai Future Movement.' This initiative involves a network of public workers from various sectors, including the civil society, public, private, and academic sectors, encompassing 10 areas (ethnicity, environment, natural resources, agriculture, trade and investment, children and youth, society and culture, education, health, and international labor). It aims to collaboratively shape the future of Chiang Rai with a clear direction and goal, fostering 'the Chiang Rai, the Lanna Land of Happiness’ for the people of Chiang Rai. Such an initiative relies on access, mutual understanding, shared principles, common goals, and cooperative action, while respecting the existing diversity.
